Tour Itinerary: A Day in the Mekong Delta

Morning: Departure & Beautiful Temples

Our day starts at 7:30 AM. We will pick you up from your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City (or meet at a central point). Enjoy a peaceful drive past beautiful green rice fields as we leave the busy city behind.

Our first stop is the peaceful Vinh Trang Pagoda. This famous temple is known for its beautiful mix of Vietnamese, Khmer, and Chinese building styles.

Midday: River Cruise & Local Culture

Next, we arrive in My Tho and board a boat to cruise the famous Mekong River. As we float along, you will see daily life on the river and pass four famous islands: Dragon, Phoenix, Unicorn, and Tortoise.

The best part of the day is a relaxing ride on a traditional rowboat (sampan). We will glide gently down quiet, narrow canals shaded by beautiful coconut trees.

Afternoon: Tropical Treats, Music & Local Lunch

On Unicorn Island, we will treat you to:

• Fresh tropical fruits and sweet honey tea.

• Traditional folk music performed by local artists.

• A delicious local lunch (with great vegan options available).

Afterward, we visit Ben Tre, also known as the Coconut Village. Here, you will see how locals make tasty candies and crafts from coconuts. You will also have free time to relax or ride a bicycle through the quiet village pathways.

Evening: Return to Ho Chi Minh City

We will head back to the city and drop you off around 5:00 PM. You will return with beautiful memories of a relaxing day in the Mekong Delta.

A Note for Our Senior Travelers

• We want everyone to have a great time, so it is helpful to know a few details about the day:

• Getting on and off boats: During the day, we will use a few different boats. Some are larger, but the small rowing sampans (the ones that go through the narrow canals) can be a bit wobbly. If you have trouble with balance or find it hard to step into a small boat, it might be a little challenging.

• The Pace of the Day: Group tours move at a set speed to stay on schedule. If you prefer to take your time or need extra help with the steps and boat docks, it can sometimes feel a bit rushed.

Regarding the transportation for your upcoming Mekong Delta tour, please note that vehicle allocation is based on the final group size. We will finalize the passenger list and close bookings by 22:00 everyday, so we cannot confirm the exact vehicle type until then.

Depending on the final count, we will provide one of the following for small group tour:

• 16-Seater Van: For groups of 10–12 passengers.

• 18-Seater Ford Transit Premium: For groups of 13–16 passengers.
